Our Pottery workshops in South Wales are based at our studio in Blackwood, just north of Cardiff.
Using the wheel, your hands and various other techniques and tools, learn everything you have to know about this classical craft. Our pottery workshops are perfect for unlocking your inner creativity whether you are an enthusiastic beginner or wheel throwing wizard.
The Studio
Our pottery workshops are held at our studio in South Wales. The studio has a great atmosphere, overflowing with chatter and enthusiasm, the kettle is always on and we welcome a variety of potters from amateur to advanced.
Skills You Will Learn
During a Pottery Masterclass, you will be guided every step of the way through each stage of the making process to help you create your own unique items.
We teach you all you need to know to make your very own fully functional tableware that is food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
We start out with three lumps of clay and by the end of the Masterclass you’ll have designed, made and decorated three pieces that you will leave with us for firing.
Everything is clear glazed and fired up to stoneware temperatures giving it that distinctive finish and your work will be ready and waiting for you to be picked up back where it all began at our workshop in Blackwood, South Wales.
The workshops are 2 hours long then turn around for getting your pots back to you is usually around 6 weeks. If you want more info, check out our blog post here where we walk you through what a workshop looks like.
